A complex nose combining plum, mulberry, ripe strawberry and brown spice with delicate floral and
violet notes. Tannins are firm and pleasingly supported with plump fruit and a rounded texture, giving
a good lengthy finish.Perfect with wild boar sausages, venison, roast lamb or gamey stews.Suitable for vegans.Suitable for vegetarians.Made from Nebbiolo grapes cultivated around the town of Barolo in southern Piemonte. These are
trained on a low Guyot trellis at a density 4-5,000 vines/ha. The grapes were hand-harvested, de stemmed and then crushed to small fermenters, for around 12 days, with daily pumping-over. This
ensures good colour and flavour extraction, but avoids over extraction of the abundant Nebbiolo
tannins. The wine was drained off at dryness, and the skins transferred to a small press. After pressing
the wine was settled for two days, and then racked to stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation.
After three years maturation in 50hl Slavonian oak casks it was racked and bottled.
A modern style of Rioja which is made using 100% Tempranillo grapes which are grown in some of the best areas in Rioja Alavesa.The wine is aged in American oak barrels for 24 months then aged for a further 12 months in bottle before release.The nose is dominated by well ripened fruits, strawberries and toasted notes with hints of leather. The palate is deep and warm, well rounded with smoky notes. The wine is rich and full flavoured.Good with barbeques and cold meats.
Ruby red in colour. On the nose lively aromas of strawberries,
blackberries and cherries are married with subtle floral nuances. It
is smooth on the palate with round tannins and a refreshing
acidity. The wine is not oak aged.Grapes for the Grão Vasco wines are sourced from a network of
trusted Dão growers who follow sustainable practices in their
vineyards. The Dão region is on the raised Beirão pleateau and the
vineyards are at altitudes of around 450 metres above sea level.
Cool nights here counteract the warmth of the days, ensuring that
the grapes undergo a slow ripening process and retain a fresh
acidity whilst accumulating great depth of flavour. Soils in the Dão
are predominantly granitic, which lends elegance to the wines.Goes well with grilled beef or lamb or robust stew. For a veggie alternative try with spinach and lentil
casserole.

A fruity wine made from Grenache Blanc and Vermentino grapes. The result is a fresh and intensely fruity wine with dominant apricot and pear flavours. In the mouth the fruit flavours are evident and are emphasised by an beautiful round structure.Serve cool as an aperitif or with goats cheese or fish in sauce.
A deep coloured red wine with an intense, elegant bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry and cherry. In the mouth these fruits are evident with fullness and roundness and balance with gives good length. The finish is long with spicy notes.Great with a loin of lamb or cheese.
