The Côtes du Rhône is made from various types of soils, but mostly from limestone terraces with sand and red clay. The colour is purple tinged garnet. The aromatic range of the nose goes from fresh berries (wild raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry) to spices.The palate is big and full flavoured with silky smooth tannins and touches of liquorice and pepper.
An intense garnet red colour. The nose has aromas of red and black ripe fruit such as kirsch and wild blackberry. The mouth is full, with blackcurrant and spice with harmonious tannins. The finish is elegant with hints of liquorice and vanilla which give the wine length and complexity.The grapes are aged in vats with about 10% of the final wine aged in oak barrels.Lirac is located on the opposite side of the river to Chateauneuf du Pape in the Rhone Valley.
A warm, full bodied wine made in Sicily. The wine has an intense ruby red colour with garnet notes and the palate shows flavours of ripe red fruits, liquorice and sweet spices. It is round and warm with a long pleasant finish.Great served with grilled poultry, soft cheeses, hearty pastas or richer seafood dishes.
Good deep coloured red made from Cabernet Franc in the Loire Valley. The wine has a rich, full palate of red fruits and spices. The palate has plenty of grip and peppery notes with hints of liquorice.Perfect with poultry, red meats and cheeses.
