Brewery is the inevitable outcome of two beer-loving scientists becoming
disillusioned with their careers. Chances are that you’re a beer lover too and
would understand why someone would give up a successful career to brew beer.
It’s got to be more interesting than most other jobs, right? Well that’s the
way our beer-loving scientists saw it. When job satisfaction is the taste
of a good pint, who can argue?
The brewery started life in a
domestic garage in Papworth Everard and we moved to much larger premises in
Earith in 2017. We are now brewing at about 100 times the capacity of our small-scale
Classic tawny colour with streaks
of amber. An array of aromas
are on display with dark raisined
fruits, mocha, hints of vanillin oak
and nutty aged barrel characters.
Initially luscious, nuances of mocha
and coffee have integrated over
time, barrel aged flavours in
harmony resulting in a smooth,
lingering drying finish.General Characteristics Sweet / Medium bodied.
Tawnys are a traditional after
dinner wine that can be savoured
with a platter of cheeses or a rich
fruit or chocolate dessert. Wine making: Fruit is allowed to stay on the vine
until very sweet and an intense
concentration of flavours has
developed. After crushing and
partial fermentation to retain some
sweetness, the wine is pressed and
then fortified with a neutral spirit
prior to maturation in small and large
format oak casks.
Cellaring: With an average age of 21 years,
Old Boys Barrel Aged Tawny can be
cellared for extended maturation in
bottle but is blended to be enjoyed
on opening at any time.

the 1750’s. The name Warrior was branded on the cases of Warre’s Finest Reserve Ports
since the earliest days of the firm. The traditional style has been maintained over the
years and it is today a classic fullbodied wine with wonderful richness and balance.
Warrior is drawn from Warre’s finest Tuintas in the Pinhao and Rio Torto valleys that
produce Warre’s Vintage Ports. The firm’s head winemaker, Charles Symington, will select
vats of particularly rich and fruity Port to set aside for maturing in oak casks in the lodges
at Vila Nova de Gaia. Allergy advice Contains sulphites
