Intense pale golden colour. The aromatic range includes lychee and some pineapple notes. The wood integration is seamless with just a distant hint of vanilla. The wine is superbly balanced on the palate with some citrus fruit and honeyed character underpinned by very fine, flinty acidity. The principal component variety of the Altano Reserva White is the Viosinho, widely regarded as one of the finest indigenous white grape variety from the Douro Valley. The Viosinho grapes are entirely sourced from a Symington family owned vineyard at an altitude range of 500 to 600 metres. Other important components are the Códega do Larinho and Gouveio varietites, also sourced from high altitude vineyards from the Murça and Alijó areas, from which we conserved the necessary acidity for the barrel- fermented wines, left on lees until bottling. 70% of the blend fermented and aged sur lie in barrel. New and second year barrels used with a 50/50 split. Bottled in June 2018 and stored to attain some bottle-ageing prior to release.A couple of years of bottle age are ideal for enjoyment of the wine at its best.Vineyards planted in altitude, in Provezende, Alijó and Murça areas of the Douro. 59% Viosinho, 35% Códega do Larinho, 6% Gouveio.Suitable for vegans.Suitable for vegetarians.
A very serious and austere Sherry with the classic greenish amber tint, typical of aged amontillados of a rich golden colour. Brewery is the inevitable outcome of two beer-loving scientists becoming
disillusioned with their careers. Chances are that you’re a beer lover too and
would understand why someone would give up a successful career to brew beer.
It’s got to be more interesting than most other jobs, right? Well that’s the
way our beer-loving scientists saw it. When job satisfaction is the taste
of a good pint, who can argue?
The brewery started life in a
domestic garage in Papworth Everard and we moved to much larger premises in
Earith in 2017. We are now brewing at about 100 times the capacity of our small-scale

A multi award winning dessert wine from this family run Australian winery. The wine is light golden in colour and has a rich vibrant stone fruit and citrus bouquet with sweet vanillin oak and spiciness. The palate has layers of intensely ripe fruit, creamy citrus, nectarine, honey and cumquat blended with attractive oak. Unctuous with a slight touch of refreshing acidity gives length and structure which then delivers a beautifully balanced wine. This wine can be enjoyed now but will cellar for another 10 to 15 years.
