Taboexa is a 13ha estate at 300m above sea level, with sandy and granitic soil typical of the region. The Arantei estate is at just 30m above sea level - with clay and pebbly soil. Harvest typically begins in the middle of September - grapes are hand harvested and collected in 20 kilo crates. 70% of the grapes are macerated before pressing for 6 hours at a controlled temperature. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel using natural yeasts, and maturation on the lees is also in stainless steel. The mineral and fruity character from the Arantei grapes is balanced by the freshness of the Taboexa grapes.
Intense pale golden colour. The aromatic range includes lychee and some pineapple notes. The wood integration is seamless with just a distant hint of vanilla. The wine is superbly balanced on the palate with some citrus fruit and honeyed character underpinned by very fine, flinty acidity. The principal component variety of the Altano Reserva White is the Viosinho, widely regarded as one of the finest indigenous white grape variety from the Douro Valley. The Viosinho grapes are entirely sourced from a Symington family owned vineyard at an altitude range of 500 to 600 metres. Other important components are the Códega do Larinho and Gouveio varietites, also sourced from high altitude vineyards from the Murça and Alijó areas, from which we conserved the necessary acidity for the barrel- fermented wines, left on lees until bottling. 70% of the blend fermented and aged sur lie in barrel. New and second year barrels used with a 50/50 split. Lovely golden-chestnut colour with a fine golden rim. Nose: characteristic and classic Madeira bouquet of dried fruits, toffee and hints of oak and spices. Palate: sweet, very rich, smooth and full-bodied, balanced by a very fine acidity. A long aftertaste with notes of honey and spicy oak.Blandys Alvada is fined and does not require decanting. It is a fine accompaniment to dessert dishes, especially fruit, cakes, rich chocolate puddings and cheeses. It has been bottled when ready for drinking and will keep for several months after opening. Blandys Alvada underwent fermentation off the skins with natural yeast at temperatures between 18°C - 21°C in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After approximately 48 hours, fortification with grape brandy takes place, arresting fermentation at the desired degree of sweetness.Blandy's Alvada was aged for 5 years in American oak casks in the traditional 'Canteiro' system. This comprises of the gentle heating of the wine in the lofts of the lodges in Funchal. Over the years the wine is transferred from the top floors to the middle floors and eventually to the ground floor where it is cooler. The wine underwent racking and fining before the blend was assembled and bottled.

Serve at 18ºC in a Bordeauxstyle glass.The grapes for this wine come from organic vineyards of Los Morros and Los Robles in the Maipo Valley. Soils are alluvial, rich in minerals with good drainage and irrigated by water from the snow thaw. The grapes were hand picked. The Maipo zone has ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The Maipo River regulates the temperatures naturally and prevents frost and extremes of heat and cold. The spring of 2013 was slightly colder than the historic average, followed by a summer with high temperatures, which accelerated ripening and prevented the delays that were initially predicted for the 2014 harvest. Rainfall in the Maipo Valley was concentrated in the winter months and reached approximately 250 mm, which is well below the nearly 450 mm recorded during the 2012–2013 season. The grape reception area includes a double selection conveyor belt that allows selection first at the bunch level and again after destemming. Vinification begins with a 4–5-day prefermentation cold soak at 8ºC followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts at 26ºC and a pumpovers program determined by enological criteria. Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally in tanks and barrels, where the wine is aged at controlled temperatures for 12 months. It is neither fined nor stabilized; it is just lightly filtered with a 1-micron cartridge filter priorto bottling.Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.This wine is Organic.

Summers are hot but with cool night temperatures. The soils are medium to very deep, of alluvial origin, and have a silty-loam texture that allows for good vine development. The grapes were hand picked in late April and early May and submitted to a week-long pre-fermentation cold treatment at 8ºC (46ºF) to extract more fruit characteristics. Alcoholic fermentation took place at 25º–28ºC (77º–82ºF) with pumpovers determined by daily tastings through the end of the process. A post-fermentation maceration followed, and then the wine was devatted, separating the free-run wine from the skins. Malolactic fermentation took place naturally. 20% of the wine was aged in French oak for 6 months and then blended for a more complex character.Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.This wine is Organic.

Count Ferenc Dobó in 1576, then in 1737 was classified as Grand Cru by Royal

Renaissance castle in Hungary. The vineyard has a south/southwest aspect &

crystalline fragments that foster wines with a firm character. Furmint is
Hungary's most important white wine grape.
Pale gold in colour, this Chilean Chardonnay combines aromas of ripe pineapple and

Ports are the ultimate expression of the wine makers and blender’s art. Only
tasters with a profound experience and knowledge of the great Ports of the
Douro can nurture these wines through many years of aging in seasoned oak casks
in the Dow’s cellars. The Dow’s blenders will select particular wines that are
set aside and destined to become these great Old Tawny Ports.
Old Tawny Ports need to be regularly tasted
throughout the many years that they lie in the cellars. The wines need to be
‘racked’ from time to time during each year. Racking is the process by which
the Dow’s team of experienced lodge men will carefully draw the wine off its
‘lees’ (the natural sediment that is formed at the bottom of the cask) and then
pour the wine back into the clean cask. During these many years of careful
attention and aging, the dark, purple and vibrant young Port mellows and ages
into the complex but delicate aged Tawny Ports, gaining a classic amber tawny
hue which gives them their name.
A very deep coloured Port with a garnet edge. Full bodied and superbly balanced with plenty of blackcurrant, cassis and liquorice notes. The palate is rounded with ripe brambly dark fruit with a dry finish that is the house style.This port is ready to drink and once opened can be kept for up to one month.Great after dinner or with chocolate desserts or cheeses.

The brewery started life in a

Harvested in the final 10 days of September from a single plot and taken
immediately to the vinification cellar. De-stemming and crushing performed with
destemming press. Transfer of crushed grapes into conical oak wooden vats at
uncontrolled temperature and alcoholic fermentation with subsequent maceration
of the must on the skins. The wine is then drawn off, the wine is separated
from the marc, and is then transferred to oak barrels at a controlled
temperature where the malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine is decanted
into other steel tanks and the topping is carried out until it is left to
mature and stabilize for about 4 months. The wine thus created is transferred
to the bottling cellar where it is clarified and filtered and introduced into
the bottling line. The bottles are then left to mature for a few months.

Made from a selection of parcels from 15 - 25 year old vineyards located in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. After de-stemming the grapes are crushed and the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once fermentation has finished the wine is put into barrels for ageing. The wine is aged for a minimum 12 months in French and American oak barrels. Once the wines is bottled, it is kept a further 12 months in bottle before release. The wine in an attractive colour with soft spice and refined oak on the nose with a depth of jammy red berry fruits. Luscious and intense with pleasant tannins that mingle with fresh and mature fruit. The finish is delicious with long lasting flavours.

name from the windmill ('molino') that sits on the edge of the
vineyards where they produce their fruit. In contrast to other
windmills, which turn in windy conditions, this particular windmill is
"loco", the Spanish for crazy, as it turns only on calm, still days.
The vineyards are located at an altitude of 500 metres above sea
level. They are dry-farmed and the clay soil is poor, meaning that
the roots of the vines grow deep into the earth in their search for
minerals and nutrients. This helps to ensure healthy, ripe, full of
flavour grapes. The Monastrell vineyards are over 18 years old,
while the Syrah vines are slightly younger, averaging around 15
The grapes were gently crushed before being fermented and
macerated on their skins for 10 days at a controlled temperature
of 24-26ºC in stainless-steel tanks. After fermentation the wine was
aged very briefly in oak to round out the tannins. The delicate
grape processing preserved the natural fruit purity and freshness
that is so typical of the Molino Loco style.
