undergo 6 hours cold maceration for the must to achieve a delicate colour; followed by slow
temperature-controlled fermentation at 17ºC in stainless steel tanks.
This wine is bright ruby red in colour. On the nose, generous
aromas of strawberries and red cherries stand out, with spicy
complexity coming from the oak ageing. It is vibrant and supple
on the palate with elegant tannins, delicately balanced acidity
and a lovely fresh finish.The Guedes family had always rated the quality of the Herdade
do Peso grapes – they had been using them in their Vinha do
Monte wines since the early 1990s – and jumped at the
opportunity to purchase the estate in 1996. Situated in the south of
the Alentejo, in the sub-region of Vidígueira, the Herdade do Peso
estate covers a total of 457 hectares, 160 hectares of which are
currently planted with vines. Winemaker Luís Cabral de Almeida
makes expressive and generous wines that reflect the warmer
climate of the Alentejo.
Despite its southerly location, Vidígueira is one of the cooler
Alentejo sub-regions and benefits from cool Atlantic air funnelled
inland from the coast by a gap in the surrounding mountains.
Limestone soils help to control vine vigour and lend elegance to
the wines. All of the Herdade do Peso vineyards are sustainably
farmed and an on-site dam provides much-needed water to
irrigate the vineyards during the Alentejo summers.
Following full destemming and gentle crushing, maceration and
fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled
temperature of 26ºC over a period of around eight days. After
malolactic fermentation, the wine aged in second, third and
fourth fill French oak barrels for around six months. It underwent a
light fining and filtration before bottling.
A delightfully fresh, pale pink rose made from Grenache and Syrah grapes grown in the Languedoc Region in the South of France. The wine is delicate and bright with a fruity nose with light citrus hints. is at once exuberantly fresh and tangy yet soft and smooth, laced with a gentle spice and brimming
with the natural richness of ripe fruit.
Grown along the Syracuse Coast
at 50 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested in September, and are
macerated before fermentation to ensure the delicate bouquet and colours are
preserved. The character is emphasised by spending 6 months on the lees in
steel. A strong bouquet recalls floral
notes and hints of spices like aniseed and cinnamon.Perfect with anything that
can be barbecued.
This soft succulent California Pinot shows ripe fruit flavours with a delicate mouthfeel. A swirl reveals aromas of dried red currants with hints of ripe cranberry, spicy cloves and vanilla. On the palate a refreshing touch of acidity is carried by racy flavours of pomegranates and black plums, while soft tannins on the finish are complimented by flavours reminiscent of grilled strawberries.Drink with grilled salmon steaks or spicy chicken.

The Riesling grapes were planted in 2002 on an east facing slope and are grown in the coolest vineyard sites, where they can ripen slowly.
