Intense ruby red colour with a complex bouquet, reminiscent of cherries, raspberries and redcurrants. The oak ageing adds a pleasant roasted and spicy aroma. The palate is full bodied, supple and well balanced with a long finish.

Just before harvest the grapes, when the grapes are fully mature and are ready to be picked, the stems of the bunches are twisted so that no further nourishment reaches the grapes, thus inducing a natural drying of the grapes on the vine. The bunches are left for about 12 days and lose approximately 25 - 30% of their weight in water, concentrating their flavours before harvest. 

Perfect with roast red meats and mature cheeses.
