Named for its striking, leopard-like shell, the Leopard Tortoise is Africa’s largest tortoise species. It can live for over a century and plays a vital role in shaping its environment by dispersing seeds as it grazes.

The grapes for False Bay Bush Vine Pinotage stem from a single vineyard of unirrigated bush vines in Stellenbosch. The attraction to this mature (planted in 1996), coastal, bush vine vineyard were the cooler temperatures and small, naturally balanced and concentrated berries. Made by Waterkloof's talented young Cellarmaster Nadia Barnard. Balanced grapes are hand harvested, fermented spontaneously with wild yeast and then raised in large wooden casks (or 'foudre' en Francais). The resulting wine therefore, is perhaps more 'Pino' than 'Tage'. No additions other than sulphur as a preservative. Grown, made and bottled in South Africa. False Bay - Real Wine, Coastal Vineyards, Sustainably Farmed, Hand Picked, Naturally Crafted, Wild Ferment, Cask Aged. 

True Cabernet Sauvignon nose, dark chocolate, black berries, and cassis. The palate pure and fresh with classic notes of dark berries, rosemary, cigar box and dark chocolate. Tannins are finely structured and supported by a rich and creamy texture. Ready to enjoy but will reward cellaring over the next three to five years.

Grapes are picked at optimal ripeness and transported to the cellar and de-stemmed into tank. The wines spend between 7 and 12 days on the skins depending on the tannin structure, with three to four pump overs per day and then pressed to undergo malolactic fermentation in tank. 

The nose is enticing with notes of yellow apple, pear and citrus. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy texture and notes of apple, yellow citrus and tropical pineapple. The finish is crisp and clean with an aftertaste of lovely citrus and stone fruits. 

Grapes are picked in the early hours of the morning to retain freshness and aromatics. De-stemmed and crushed straight to the press with no skin contact. The majority of the fermintation takes place in stainless steel while 4% of the wine is fermented in old oak to add depth and structure to the palate. After fermentation, the wine is kept on the lees until bottled. 

A fresh, dry wine made in the Western Cape. The wine is dry with classic baked apple and zippy citrus aromas with soft, delicate apple fruit on the palate well balanced by crisp acidity. Extended lees contact gives this great value wine some real weight and character.

A great partner to grilled fish, chicken and salads.

Discovered in 1869, the ‘Star of South Africa’ was the first large diamond find in the country. On hearing of the stone, the Earl of Dudley purchased it, had it mounted on a head ornament with 95 smaller diamonds and gave it to the countess of Dudley – it was hence known as the ‘Dudley Diamond’.

This Chenin Blanc is pale straw in colour with sumptuous aromas of peach and melon. These characteristics are echoed on the palate, where they are perfectly balanced with a zingy lime freshness and crisp, refreshing finish.

Serve chilled, this wine is ideal with spicy Asian seafood dishes.

From South Africa's Western Cape. Cool hand harvested grapes are crushed immediately and the juice left for overnight settling. Cool fermentation of clear juice. Wines left on fine lees until just before preparation for bottling. Straw yellow in colour, on the nose you get apple, pear ,quince and light floral notes.

Fresh and fruity with crisp acidity and minerality. A clean finish with subtle citrus and stone fruit.

The Rhinoceros Beetle, named for its horn-like projection, can lift over 800 times its own weight, making it one of nature’s most powerful creatures. Feeding on sap and decaying plant matter, it supports its ecosystem by recycling nutrients and enriching the soil.

With abundant fresh, citrus and tropical fruit on the nose, this a beautifully balanced wine which just leaps out of the glass. A hint of oak lends a degree of complexity and texture and layers of fruit and straw linger on the palate. 

The Leeuwenkuil grapes were tank fermented using natural yeast and blended with a smaller portion of barrel-fermented wine from old vines in Wellington. 

Great with chicken served with a creamy mushroom sauce, or pea and broad bean risotto.

The nose expresses guava, white peach and pear drop notes. The palate shows luscious ripe tropical fruit with a hint of herbs, a lingering aftertaste of grape fruit and a zesty acidity. A great accompaniment to spicy chicken dishes or fresh Caesar salads.

Grapes are picked at optimum ripeness around 22 Balling and the juice allowed some skin contact with the grapes. The juice starts with a native yeast fermentation before it is inoculated with a special brew of different commercial yeast strains.
It is fermented cold in stainless steel tanks over a period of 2 to 3 weeks at temperatures varying between 11 – 15 °C and left on its primary fermentation lees for at least 3 months before refinement and bottling.

Fairtrade Certified

The idea with the Bean is to create a wine with dark fruit that is finely integrated with coffee/mocha flavours. To achieve this, the wine was fermented and aged on well roasted French oak staves. The Bean has a deep purple colour, the nose shows dark mocha and roasted coffee bean aromas. The wine has a lot of tannin, but these tannins are fine and silky and well integrated. The palate is mouth filling and surprisingly complex for such a young wine. Once tasted, this is a wine not easily forgotten.

Pinotage is South Africa's native grape, a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault.

Bright ruby red. The nose is compact with brooding red fruit and spicy wood. The palate is round and supple with red fruit flavour accented by spicy wood. It is a deeply satisfying wine.

Danger Bay Sauvignon Blanc Western Cape is produced from carefully selected grapes, many of which are grown in vineyards benefitting from high altitude or cooling sea breezes. A vibrant Sauvignon blanc that is fresh and exciting, unoaked, with lemon grass, white blossom, gooseberry and lime coming through. A wine showing great minerality and balance on palate with loads of concentration in flavour that lingers with a creamy finish.
