Vineyards are located in the north-west corner of Utiel Requena, 900 metres above sea level. Wines are made from organically-grown grapes in vineyards cultivated using natural fertilisers, cover crops, biological control of pests and not using any chemical products that may damage the health of the environment. Grapes are cooled and undergo pre-ferment whole bunch maceration before temperature controlled tank fermentation.

The Nederberg 56 Hunderd Chenin Blanc is a generous and rewarding wine that boasts a vibrant tropical fruit profile. In the glass the wine shows a pale straw colour that is accentuated by an enchanting green tint. The bouquet is immediately forthcoming with abundant aromas of guava, apricot and white peach that greet the nose. A well-balanced palate continues with the aromatic profile of the nose, allowing ripe fruit flavours to reach an elevated expression of character on the mid palate before ending of with a pleasant finish.

Gardner Street Classic has the classic floral, elderflower note we have come to know of contemporary Bacchus married with a touch of stone fruit from the Chardonnay. On the palate there's an abundance of red apple fruit, a touch of wild fennel with the barrel fermented Chardonnay giving mid palate weight and structure to a wine that ultimately finishes with a brisk, present acidity. 85% Bacchus & 15% Chardonnay.

The grapes are de-stemmed and macerated at cool temperatures prior to fermentation (in order to retain the fresh fruit flavours) and the wine is vinified without oak before the final blend is assembled. The Mourvedre grape comes mainly from the warm south part of the Languedoc Roussillon

Grapes are sourced from one hectare Fontanino plot of the 60 ha Il Cascinone estate in the Monferrato area of north west Italy. The Riesling grapes were planted in 2002 on an east facing slope and are grown in the coolest vineyard sites, where they can ripen slowly. After pressing the juice is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and spends 4 months on fine lees before being bottled.

This crisp, dry sauvignon Blanc brings a melange of tropical flavours, including passionfruit and gooseberry, together with citrus and minerality.

The grapes were sourced from a range of vineyards in the Cape Town Region. The wine was cold fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness.

The palate is clear and bright with a beautiful pale straw green and plenty of fresh aromas of pineapple and passionfruit on the nose. The palate is bursting with flavours of lemon peel and passion fruit, balancing acidity and a fresh finish.

A fresh, dry wine with lemon and citrus with a refreshing and aromatic mouth feel. The Rolle ( also called Vermentino )  brings a certain smoothness to the blend.

Cold maceration on the skins, followed by pressing and alcoholic fermentation on the fine lees at a temperature of 16-18°C. The blend coming from mainly Cotes de Thongue area in the centre of Languedoc Roussillon. The blend keeps the flavours and the refreshing personality of the Sauvignon. The Rolle (or vermentino) part (roughly ?) brings the luscious exotic fruits aromas to the blend

The Wolf Blass Makers Project Shiraz Grenache offers aromas of blueberry, black cherry and spice on the nose. The palate is plush, soft and juicy. Makers Project Shiraz Grenache was pressed from its skins early, before the end of fermentation. This technique perfectly captures the plush, fresh fruit flavours, creating a soft, juicy wine with a velvety texture and a long, silky-smooth finish.

Shiraz pairs well with grilled, roast and barbecued red meats, dark fruit sauces, Mexican, Turkish and Chinese spices, and smoky flavours. Wolf Blass Bilyara Shiraz is great with lamb burgers with beetroot relish, or beef and rosemary pie.

Te Awanga Estate is a family owned wine business. It was borne out of a love of making wine and of the place we call home, Hawke’s Bay. In 2006 they began searching out great vineyard sites that would eventually supply the grapes to make the great wines of the future. They have an enduring purpose: to grow, harvest and craft world class wines. And smile while doing it.

The Maraekakaho Vineyard is planted on an ancient river terrace that was formed by the Ngaruroro River which now flows around 60 meters below the vineyard. With its headwaters in the Kaweka Ranges to the west of Hawkes Bay, the river has created the landscapes through glacial melts, floods and droughts over the last few hundred thousand years. The old terraces that remain are made up of greywacke (a compressed sandstone) boulders and gravels from the ranges, and a topsoil borne of windblown loess, volcanic ash and humus created by ancient forests and vegetation.

An exotic wine with a bouquet of ripe peach, jasmine and vanilla cream. Lovely hints of oak on the palate which is full of flavour and leads to a long, satisfying finish.

The wine is made from a single mountainside block - one of the highest in the Western Cape at 700 metres. The yields are low at just 6 tonnes per hectare.

Painted Wolf Wines is a quality boutique family business producing a range of commercially appealing specialist wines. They work with grape growers in various appellations in South Africa. Making wine from organic and sustainably farmed grapes, and donating around 4% of annual turnover to African wild dog (Painted Wolf) conservation is at the core of their company philosophy. 

2018 was a drought year but cool weather allowed slow ripening and good fruit concentration.
