This is a blend of grapes from two estates in the south of DO Rías Baixas in Galicia, north west Spain. Taboexa is a 13ha estate at 300m above sea level, with sandy and granitic soil typical of the region. The Arantei estate is at just 30m above sea level - with clay and pebbly soil. Harvest typically begins in the middle of September - grapes are hand harvested and collected in 20 kilo crates. 70% of the grapes are macerated before pressing for 6 hours at a controlled temperature. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel using natural yeasts, and maturation on the lees is also in stainless steel. The mineral and fruity character from the Arantei grapes is balanced by the freshness of the Taboexa grapes.
 

Typical Asti aromas of grapes, peaches and a touch of honeysuckle. On the palate the sweetness is balanced by a delicate mousse and attractive grapey flavours.

This wine is made from Koshu, Japan’s indigenous wine grape which can be traced back to 1186 when it was discovered growing wild at Katsunama in Yamanashi prefecture.

Pale yellow colour. Refreshing aromas of citrus fruits such as lemon, lime, sudachi and apple, nuance of toasted bread derived from Sur Lie Method appears. Fresh acidity is accented by pleasant astringency extracted from the skin of Koshu grapes.

Koshu grapes are grown in Yamanashi Prefecture and harvest took place from early September to early October. Fermentation in a stainless steel tank at 18 to 20 degrees for about 14 days, The wine was aged for about 8 months in a stainless steel tank.

Named after Luciana, the wife of La Battistina estate's previous owner, this is an elegant and fresh Gavi, easy-drinking but with some depth.

Produced from Cortese grapes cultivated in vineyards on the Monferrato hills in the South of the province of Asti, Piemonte. The vineyards are southwest facing and situated at altitudes of between 250 and 400m. The Piemonte low Guyot trellis system is used for the vines, which grow in a limestone-clay soil. Planting density is 4000 to 4500 vines per hectare. Grapes are hand harvested in the last week of September. Temperature controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel (16- 18ºC) and the wine spends a couple of months on lees.

This wine offers an aromatic, rose petal perfume, enhanced with the aromas of newly sliced peaches. The palate is fresh, fruity and beautifully balanced, finishing off-dry.

The Estate is situated in the Breedkloof area of Breede River Valley about 110km from Cape Town. Bersig means 'mountain view'.

The nose offers floral aromas of jasmine, lychee, and honey notes. The floral notes reappear on the palate, along with apricot, and mandarin orange. Medium bodied with good concentration and a refreshing ripe fruit finish. A Thai fighting delight!

The Rapel Valley lies with the Pacific Ocean to the West, to the east the Andes Mountains, and to the south the province of Colchagua. The climatic characteristics of this valley include frost-free springs and warm summers that allow the grapes to ripen well. The Rapel Valley viticultural zone is located in Chile’s 6th Region, approximately 160 km (100 mi) south of Santiago and includes the sub-valleys of Cachapoal and Colchagua. The entire zone presents good drainage, high fertility, and tremendous agricultural aptitude. Its climate is sub-humid Mediterranean because the low, even hills of the Coastal Mountain Range to the west allow the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean to penetrate the valley and moderate temperatures. It is highly influenced by the Pacific anticyclone, which results in a concentration of rainfall during the winter months. Precipitation averages 710 mm (28 in) per year.  During the summer, the southern and south-western winds result in an ample temperature variation between daytime highs and night time lows. The maximum temperature in January reaches 32ºC (90ºF) and the annual average is 14ºC (57ºF). The grapes that went into this wine were handpicked in April, when the fruit had reached the desired level of ripeness. The fruit came from vineyards that are more than 22 years old the Totihue estate in Alto Cachapoal and the Los Pretiles estate in Alto  Colchagua. The vines at both estates are vertically positioned and yield an average yield of 9 tons per hectare. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts in our Maipo Valley winery. The process was carefully managed to maintain temperatures at 15º–17ºC (59º–63º), with gentle aeration and delicate lees stirring to reach the desired results. The wine was fined with bentonite and cold-stabilized before bottling to prevent tartaric precipitations in the bottle.

A brilliant pale yellow coloured wine. Very aromatic with mineral and citrus notes. The palate is rich and full, very long and delicate.

Patriarche is an old established producer who have been making wines since 1780.

This wine comes from vineyards in Macconais and the grapes are grown on limestone / marl which is ideal for growing Chardonnay.

The wine has had no oak ageing and is best served chilled.

This sweet wine is made from moscatel grapes sourced from 110ha of vineyard located in the Ribera Baja region of Southern Navarra. The average age of the vines is 8 years. After crushing, the grapes undergo a low-pressure pressing process to obtain the free-run juice. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, and is stopped with the addition of grape spirit.

After a short fermentation, selected wine brandy is added and the fortified wine macerates on skins until the end of the winter ( about 5 to 6 months ). It is then aged for a minimum three years in small used oak barrels. The wine is young and rich with a light topaz colour. The wine has intense aroma of Moscatel and orange tree flower, tea and raisins with a smooth sweet, fresh palate.

The vineyard lies on one of the best sites in Nantais at Saint-Fiâcre. Here the soils are layered with orthogneiss, a cracked, mineral-rich rock through which the vine roots weave and nourish the vine. Made traditionally at this small estate, the grapes were hand-picked, lightly pressed to retain their delicacy and purity of flavour, and fermented at cool temperatures to preserve their aromas. The wine was left on its fine lees until the following spring to add complexity and extra richness

Grapes are grown on the slopes of the Calavino hills in the Valle dei Laghi, where there is a large difference between day and night temperatures, which produces crisp, aromatic wines. Most of the grapes are grown in a small zone near Toblino in the hills above Trento. After careful selection of the bunches, they are softly pressed and undergo temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The wine is released after around 4 months refinement.

Winner of The Wine Merchant Top 100 'Best Value White' Trophy 2018, Nosiola is better known for making Vino Santo Trentino, one of Italy’s great dessert wines, but its fresh, ripe, unoaked dry whites are undiscovered gems.

Vibrant aromas of stone fruit with citrus and grapefruit notes. The palate is crisp and zesty with layers of fresh peachy, tropical fruit characters. Lively and approachable, with texture and minerality giving depth, and backed by lively acidity.

The Pecorino grapes are sourced from the district of Caparrone, in the hills west of Pescara. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 2 months on lees.

2019 Vintage Sommelier Wine Awards 2020 GOLD 

 Slightly perfumed, ripe melon fruit on the nose. The palate is weighty and ripe but remains fresh and saline. After a well rounded attack, the palate is lifted by a crisp note typical of the wines from this terroir.

Grapes grown for this wine are only a stones throw from oyster leases in Etang de Thau bay. It is the prefect match for oysters, mussels and grilled fish. Or you can enjoy it on its own.

This wine has a lovely perfumed nose with fine floral aromas mixed with a tad of honey and spice; quite full and rich, lightly smoky honeysuckle perfume with smooth but dry(ish) finish.

Serve with meaty white fish such as monkfish, salmon or trout, king prawns, turkey or spicy dishes such as sweet and sour vegetables, fish or chicken tandoori or not too spiced Thai food. 

Grapes are hand and machine harvested from 30 year old Sauvignon Blanc vines within a 22 hectare

vineyard on the hill of St Andelain on a mix of Silex and Kimmerigian clay. The estate undertakes

disease and pest control measures by maintaining natural balance ("lutte raisonnée") and works the soil

in a traditional way. Individual parcels are vinified separately. The grapes are gently pressed

pneumatically. Prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the must is naturally clarified by cold

stabilisation and some of the grapes are macerated on the skins for a short period to maximise flavour

complexity. Either wild or selected yeasts are used, depending on conditions - indigenous yeasts are

believed to add more character. The fermentation is cool and slow over 3 weeks and the wine remains

on the fine lees. The gravity fed cellar is on two levels and all temperature controlled.

This delicious, off dry wine, is made in vineyards situated at the foot of the Vosges, between Marlenheim and Thann. Riesling is possibly the most famous grape variety in Alsace.

With aromas of orange and mandarin with mineral notes. The wine is citrussy, fresh, fruity and well balanced.

Goes well with seafood, fish, Alsatian sauerkraut or coq au vin.

This is a classic Riesling from the Mosel, characterised by a fragrant nose with a hint of honey and green apricot. A blast of fruit on the initial palate gives way to intense minerality and crisp acidity.

The cool climate of the Mosel is the ideal setting for creating low alcohol wines and this is a great example.

Perfect as an aperitif or as an accompaniement to spicy Asian cuisine.

Grapes are sourced from one hectare Fontanino plot of the 60 ha Il Cascinone estate in the Monferrato area of north west Italy. The Riesling grapes were planted in 2002 on an east facing slope and are grown in the coolest vineyard sites, where they can ripen slowly. After pressing the juice is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and spends 4 months on fine lees before being bottled.

The nose classically expresses the vineyard... it's like having a fresh lime in your hand that you crush gently over minerals... literally lime on the rocks!! The palate is bright, zingy, singing with natural acidity and really textural. It reflects the vineyard with its fine sandy texture with really bright, white pithy fruit. Just a cracking Eden Valley Riesling.
 

Well suited to seafood dishes, spicy cuisine and anytime in the company of those who enjoy a quality riesling! Try chilli prawns, green thai curry, fish and chicken laksa (with chilli, coconut, ginger and lime).

Eden Valley Riesling is prized for its vibrancy, purity and longevity and has produced many of Australia’s greatest Rieslings. The fruit for Rag & Bone is sourced from Binder’s single vineyard, high up on the Eastern side of Eden Valley. Warm days and cool nights ensure that the grapes develop ripe, intense fruit flavours whilst retaining appealing zing and acidity. The fruit was delivered to the winery immediately after harvesting in the cool hours of the morning, then processed very gently through our tank press. Free run and pressing portions were determined by Christa, using her vast experience with this variety. A Ratafia style wine was made from the pressings and the free run juice was used to make this wine. The juice was cold settled and 3 days later the clear juice was transferred into fermentation tanks. Bottling took place in the middle of June.

Fragrant and serene. Fine acidity and a nice hold from the volcanic soil and a touch of minerality to complete it. Fresh lime and wild flower aromas. The palate is mature with citrus, passionfruit and peach leading to a refreshing, dry wine, complemented by a harmonious, elegant and round finish.

This is a unique blend of Olasrizling and Rhine Riesling that have both been grown in Hungary for many years. The grapes benefit from the Mediterranean climate on the volcanic slopes of Mount Badacsony which overlooks Lake Balaton.

A dry crisp wine, bright straw in colour with green tints. The clean racy nose reveals hints of grapefruit, white flowers and flintiness. On the palate, the attack is full and silky, rich and plump with underlying freshness.

The wine is 100% estate grown from 25 year old vines. The grapes are harvested at optimum maturity and fermented slowly for 3 weeks in stainless steel vats to retain freshness. The wine is matured on their fine lees until bottling in the following spring.

Gold

A light golden, medium bodied wine with peach, nectarine, pear and honey aromas with a hint of oak. The palate is sweet with a vibrant mouthful of stone fruits, citrus, a twist of caramel and subtle oak with a touch of refreshing acidity leaving the wine beautifully balanced with a long lingering finish.

Try with a variety of fruit desserts or enjoy with a platter of cheeses and dried fruit.

Stylish and concentrated with fresh intense aromas of grapefruit and lime as well as honeyed stonefruit. The palate is fresh and fruity.

Very approachable with apple, pear and ripe stone fruit. A mouthfilling minerality adds to the complexity and weight.

Try with seafood risotto, grilled sardines and a green leaf salad, or just great chilled on its own. 

Ripe citrus and delicately tropical aromas lead to a textural, mineral palate with bright acidity, mandarin characters and appealing finish.

Casa de Vila Nova is located in the North of Portugal. The vineyards are exposed to the Atlantic Ocean winds and influence. The grapes are harvested by hand.

A delicious off dry style of Chenin Blanc with stony minerality, fresh walnuts and a hint of lime. The palate is honeyed with apple, ginger and a clean mineral finish. The sweetness is perfectly integrated and balanced, resulting in a refreshing wine with good length.
