Ruby red in colour. On the nose lively aromas of strawberries, blackberries and cherries are married with subtle floral nuances. It is smooth on the palate with round tannins and a refreshing acidity. The wine is not oak aged.

Grapes for the Grão Vasco wines are sourced from a network of trusted Dão growers who follow sustainable practices in their vineyards. The Dão region is on the raised Beirão pleateau and the vineyards are at altitudes of around 450 metres above sea level. Cool nights here counteract the warmth of the days, ensuring that the grapes undergo a slow ripening process and retain a fresh acidity whilst accumulating great depth of flavour. Soils in the Dão are predominantly granitic, which lends elegance to the wines.

Goes well with grilled beef or lamb or robust stew. For a veggie alternative try with spinach and lentil casserole.

Generous aromas of wild berries and gentle autolytic notes. Full, fruity, dry and concentrated on the palate with persistent bubbles and delicate red fruit on the finish.

Made predominantly from the indigenous Trepat red variety on the 35 hectares of vineyard at the Can Macia estate, in the Anoia river basin in Odena. Made using the traditional method with secondary fermentation in bottle. The wine is matured for an extended period of 18 months before disgorgement to enhance the complex, fruity aromas.

A medium dark wine, brown with golden highlights. Very fragrant with rich aromas of wood, spice and caramel. Full and rich on the palate body, with dried fruit and a harmonious finish.

It’s smooth and mellow flavours make it the perfect accompaniment for desserts such as ice-cream and strong cheeses.

This 3 Year Old Madeira starts life as fermenting must and is then fortified before undergoing its own very special maturation process. Made of predominantly Tinta Negra Mole Grapes, harvest begins from mid-August due to the warm southerly climate. A unique and highly sophisticated artificial Estufa process is set up for the 3 year old wines, where temperatures rise to 45ºC before being allowed to cool. This process takes 90 days and renders the wine completely stable. It is then aged in oak casks for 3 years, prior to bottling.

A ripe, fruity wine that begins with the expressive red berry fruit of Merlot, whilst in the background Mourvedre gives spiciness and pleasant grip to the blend.

FOOD MATCH Can be enjoyed with or without food, although it would happily partner hearty pastas and Mediterrannean dishes flavoured with tomatoes, olives or anchovies.

The grapes are de-stemmed and macerated at cool temperatures prior to fermentation (in order to retain the fresh fruit flavours) and the wine is vinified without oak before the final blend is assembled. The Mourvedre grape comes mainly from the warm south part of the Languedoc Roussillon

Deep red in colour with intense aromas of cherries, blueberries, and a bit of black pepper. The palate is smooth and silky with good structure and along and pleasing finish.

This Merlot is perfect as an aperitif as well as with red meats and pastas with sauce.

There are fine, light, fruity aromas of fresh green apples and pears plus a hint of yeastiness on the nose. The palate is creamy and softly sparkling with some richness and a long, gently aromatic finish.

Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Spumante is made from Glera grapes cultivated in selected vineyards in the district of Valdobbiadene near the town of Conegliano in the region of Veneto. Produced using the Charmat method of sparkling wine production with secondary fermentation taking place in tank. (The Champagne/traditional method is not used for Prosecco because the long ageing period would rob the wine of its freshness). 

Greenish-yellow in colour with intense aromas of citrus and tropical fruits with a floral touch that make this an elegant and delicate wine. The palate is fresh and fruity with well-balanced acidity.

This Sauvignon Blanc is perfect as an aperitif and with fish, shellfish, and pastas.

A fresh, dry wine with lemon and citrus with a refreshing and aromatic mouth feel. The Rolle ( also called Vermentino )  brings a certain smoothness to the blend.

Drink with: A wonderful all-rounder! Especially good with stir fried vegetables (particularly broccoli), vegetable pakora or a Thai green curry.

Cold maceration on the skins, followed by pressing and alcoholic fermentation on the fine lees at a temperature of 16-18°C. The blend coming from mainly Cotes de Thongue area in the centre of Languedoc Roussillon. The blend keeps the flavours and the refreshing personality of the Sauvignon. The Rolle (or vermentino) part (roughly ?) brings the luscious exotic fruits aromas to the blend

Bright and crisp Sauvignon with aromas of citrus and freshly-cut grass, medium weight and excellent for the Touraine appellation. Vincent Leclair runs this family estate.
