A proper grown-up, textural Chardonnay from the Campo Fiorito vineyard, a 5 hectare north east facing plot on the stunning Il Cascinone estate.The 5ha Campo Fiorito vineyard is located on the north-east facing slopes of the 60 ha estate of Il Cascinone, in the Monferrato hills of Piemonte, Italy (planted in 1998). This cooler site is perfect for the slower maturation needed to produce fresh whites. Grapes are typically harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September. Around 15% of the wine was fermented and aged in French oak barriques for added richness and complexity.A delicate nose of ripe stone fruit, lightly honeyed with a hint of creamy oak. The complex palate is concentrated and well-balanced with ripe peach characters, an appealing mouthfeel and a fresh, long finish with some savoury, toasty notes.Suitable for vegansSuitable for vegetarians

The nose is enticing with notes of yellow apple, pear and citrus. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy texture and notes of apple, yellow citrus and tropical pineapple. The finish is crisp and clean with an aftertaste of lovely citrus and stone fruits. Grapes are picked in the early hours of the morning to retain freshness and aromatics. De-stemmed and crushed straight to the press with no skin contact. The majority of the fermintation takes place in stainless steel while 4% of the wine is fermented in old oak to add depth and structure to the palate. After fermentation, the wine is kept on the lees until bottled.

Produced traditionally by head winemaker Michel Lihrmann. Grapes are selected from vineyards with diverse soils - limestone, granite, gravel, marl and sandstone which impart different characters and styles to the overall blend. The grapes are harvested by hand and machine, depending on site. Pneumatic pressing, temperature controlled fermentation, no fining and light filtration before bottling, all to preserve the fruit and aromatics. Turckheim's Tradition range are benchmarks for the classic Alsace varieties. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown in three excellent sites across the Leyda and San Antonio D.O. The proximity of the vineyards to the Pacific Ocean (only 10km’s away) and its fresh coastal breezes ensures grapes ripen slowly. This allows the grapes to retain their natural citrus flavours and freshness but also to develop great aromatics. Sauvignon Blanc grapes in Leyda are some of the first to be harvested in Chile, and winemaking is simple to preserve this crunchy, bright fruit. Cool fermentation in stainless steel is followed by a couple of months on their fine lees which adds texture and depth. We bottle early to retain the primary characters, flavours and freshness of this enchanting fruit. The wine is sourced from grapes equally shaped by the Pacific Ocean that grow in the Aconcagua region’s coastal Leyda Valley, grapes that achieve a pungency and aromatic profile redolent of New Zealand’s Marlborough region on the other side of the Pacific Rim.
