The nose is enticing with notes of yellow apple, pear and citrus. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy texture and notes of apple, yellow citrus and tropical pineapple. The finish is crisp and clean with an aftertaste of lovely citrus and stone fruits. Grapes are picked in the early hours of the morning to retain freshness and aromatics. De-stemmed and crushed straight to the press with no skin contact. The majority of the fermintation takes place in stainless steel while 4% of the wine is fermented in old oak to add depth and structure to the palate. After fermentation, the wine is kept on the lees until bottled.

From some of the oldest living Riesling blocks in New Zealand, this is a zesty wonderland of lime and joy.Heaphy Riesling comes from 30 & 50 year old unirrigated vines grown on Moutere clay soils, the wine is a delightful red apple and lime combo whose generous body and lifted aromatics. Harvested in late February then crushed to tank, settled and racked, then allowed to settle on fine lees for 8 months prior to bottling.A nose of fresh ginger, cardamom and jasmine over a rich palate of juicy lime, red apple and stone fruit, with generous mouthfeel and texture in the finish.
