The Côtes du Rhône is made from various types of soils, but mostly from limestone terraces with sand and red clay. The colour is purple tinged garnet. The aromatic range of the nose goes from fresh berries (wild raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry) to spices.The palate is big and full flavoured with silky smooth tannins and touches of liquorice and pepper.

A light straw coloured wine with a green hue. The wine is fresh and vibrant on the nose with fresh pear, white nectarine and grapefruit aromas leaping out of the glass with a hint of honeysuckle present. The palate is fresh, clean and refreshing having flavours that are complimentary to the aromas as well as a distinct Meyer lemon character. The grapes are harvested at night and it was fermented in stainless steel to retain the freshness of the varietal. Pinotage Guillermo Swartland Painted Wolf South Africa
A bright, vibrant wine with spicy red berry fruit such as blueberry and mulberry, exotic spice and creamy vanilla, evident ripe tannins and a long finish. This wine drinks well young but will improve over the next 6 to 8 years, gaining more complexity. The grapes were hand-picked into small baskets and taken to the cellar. A portion was fermented in open bins and hand-punched four times a day. The rest was fermented in a rototank. No commercial yeast was used as these grapes ferment well with their own yeast. The wine matured in a mixture of French and American oak barrels for 14 months. Approximately 30% was new wood. Recommendation Deeply flavoured dishes.
