This has been a wine growing property since at least 1396, and has been the property of the d’Estutt d’Assay family (originally of Scottish origin) since 1586. The 23 hectares of vineyards were re-established in the early 1950s, with the current guardian of this family owned property, in Juliette d'Assay, making a single blend of the various terroirs each vintage. The wine is always ripe and generous, with currant and grapefruit flavours and improves for several years in bottle.
