Amber colour with olive green hues. The nose has hints of toffee and coffee with raisins and mandarin peel. Unique and delicious flavours of rich raisin and dried date fruit with hints of citrus peel and caramel flavours. Concentrated and viscous with lingering aged complexity. The wine is aged in barrels for over 10 years.

Suggested Cuisine Enjoy with Christmas pudding or sticky date pudding. Try poured over vanilla ice cream or with a cheese platter after dinner.

General Characteristics Sweet / Medium bodied.

Winemaking: When the botrytised Semillon grapes are being harvested for Noble One, a parcel of fruit at approx 20-22 baume is selected to produce the Black Noble intense and ripe botrytis flavours. Very little fermentation occurs before fortification with a neutral grape spirit is added to inhibit any further fermentation. Black Noble is then clarified, a touch of brandy spirit added for further complexity before being transferred into used Noble One barriques.

Cellaring: The wine has been aged in barrel and is designed for current consumption but will keep in the bottle for several years. 

So far Black Noble has won over 60 awards and medals in various wine competitions.

A deep purple coloured wine with ruby red hues. Plenty of blackcurrant, dark plum aromas with a hint of black olive. The palate is rich and generous with black fruits and roasted coffee. The wine is full bodied and aged in oak but this is very restrained and does not overpower the wine and it has a long persistent finish.

Taken from the pristine soils of the Limestone Coast, this Cabernet Sauvignon shows the trademark bright fruit and generous flavours associated with the region. The cool air flow and long sunshine hours in this area provide extended ripening and hence complexity. Cabernet is well suited to this climate, developing intense black fruit aromas whilst maintaining lovely natural acidity and a sturdy tannin structure.

Pale straw lemon in colour with fresh, aromatics of lime leaf, honeydew melon and a hint of buttery, toasty notes.  The palate has flavours of lime, nectarine and fresh lemon. Crisp acidity with slight notes of brioche and creaminess on the finish.

The Hesketh Art Series wines represent the best of our home state, South Australia - one of the most celebrated and diverse growing regions in the world. Grapes for these wines are sourced from the premium growing region of the Limestone Coast. This wine is produced, blended and bottled into a fresh, fruit driven style which is perfect for everyday drinking or more salubrious occasions.

Sourced from 13 year-old-vines in Southern Coonawarra, the grapes for our 2019 Lost Weekend Chardonnay were picked from the 8th to the 12th of March. Following harvest, the fruit was pressed off skins and the pressings were kept separate and fermented cool for 35 days. The wine was then racked off gross lees to keep the style clean and crisp before being matured in stainless steel for 5 months prior to bottling. Lost Weekend is a fresh and vibrant style of Chardonnay which will reward short to medium term cellaring. Best shared with a large group of friends over a big haul of freshly caught seafood! 

An elegant white made from selected premium parcels of high altitude vineyards. This is a fruit driven style with distinctive aromas of ripe peach and melon with nuances of oak, this is mouth filling and generous with a sustained finish.

Great on its own or with chicken, fish and salads.

The grapes for this wine were all hand picked. After fermentation the wine is aged on its lees in bottle for an extended time before release.

The winery was established in 1986 and has been owned by the Hill-Smith family since 1998. 

 A multi award winning dessert wine from this family run Australian winery. The wine is light golden in colour and has a rich vibrant stone fruit and citrus bouquet with sweet vanillin oak and spiciness. The palate has layers of intensely ripe fruit, creamy citrus, nectarine, honey and cumquat blended with attractive oak. Unctuous with a slight touch of refreshing acidity gives length and structure which then delivers a beautifully balanced wine.

This wine can be enjoyed now but will cellar for another 10 to 15 years.

Amazing light gold colour. Clean and shiny. A very fragrant bouquet promises a rich and flavoursome dessert wine. Hints of baked pear and peach with fresh tangelo. You’ll find these same characteristics on the palate, with melted peach and pear, and a luscious honeysuckle coating. Lemon balm and mandarin gives this wine a beautiful balanced freshness. Vibrant, mouth coating and a long lingering finish will make this wine morialised for all of eternity.

Botrytis Cinerea, affectionately known as Noble Rot, weakens grape skins causing water to evaporate which results in sweet, concentrated flavours. These shrivelled berries are basket pressed before a long fermentation, resulting in a luscious wine with intense richness and viscosity.

This wine will pair with any dessert. Simply wonderful.

Classic tawny colour with streaks of amber. An array of aromas are on display with dark raisined fruits, mocha, hints of vanillin oak and nutty aged barrel characters. Initially luscious, nuances of mocha and coffee have integrated over time, barrel aged flavours in harmony resulting in a smooth, lingering drying finish.

Suggested Cuisine Tawnys are a traditional after dinner wine that can be savoured with a platter of cheeses or a rich fruit or chocolate dessert. 

Wine making: Fruit is allowed to stay on the vine until very sweet and an intense concentration of flavours has developed. After crushing and partial fermentation to retain some sweetness, the wine is pressed and then fortified with a neutral spirit prior to maturation in small and large format oak casks.

Cellaring: With an average age of 21 years, Old Boys Barrel Aged Tawny can be cellared for extended maturation in bottle but is blended to be enjoyed on opening at any time. 

A wonderful, rich sweet dessert wine, made by the family run Brown Brothers in their winery in Victoria, Australia. Made from the unique Orange Muscat which forms the backbone of the wine and it brings aromas of orange blossom on the nose and a fresh citrus hint to the palate, while the Flora contributes colour, texture and mouth feel. The wine is vibrant gold and shows lifted aromas of lemon, honey, spice and musk. 

It is fresh and tangy with q zesty long clean balanced finish. It can be kept for around 5 years from vintage.

Serve with a wide range of desserts or Milawa blue cheese.

A light straw coloured wine with a green hue. The wine is fresh and vibrant on the nose with fresh pear, white nectarine and grapefruit aromas leaping out of the glass with a hint of honeysuckle present. The palate is fresh, clean and refreshing having flavours that are complimentary to the aromas as well as a distinct Meyer lemon character. The grapes are harvested at night and it was fermented in stainless steel to retain the freshness of the varietal. 

Goes well with whole baby snapper grilled on the bbq or coconut poached chicken with mango and wild rice salad.

Berton Vineyards was established in 1996 by Bob and Cherie Berton when they purchased a block of land in High Eden, a subregion of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. This idyllic property sits 450m above sea level on gently rolling hills. Bob and Cherie set about planting the first Berton Vineyard cuttings that spring - ten acres of Shiraz and seven acres of Chardonnay. In 2005 when the former Southcorp winery in Yenda NSW became available, Bob and Cherie joined with Jamie Bennett, Paul Bartholomaeus and James Ceccato to form Berton Vineyards the company so that it could be in control of it’s own production.

From humble beginnings in 2005 Berton Vineyards has grown into one of the 20 largest Wineries in Australia (Wine Industry Directory, 2011), Both the winery and their wines have received strong reviews and accolades internationally. In 2014 they were rated as one of the top 20 producers in terms of quality in Australia.  They put their success down to maintaining personal relationships with their customers.

A dry white wine which is white gold in colour with aromas of pear, honeysuckle, apricot and nougat. It has flavours of white peach and ripe lemon and a zesty tang on the palate before a long dry lemony finish.

The grapes were harvested in the cool of the night before being fermented in stainless steel tanks where the wine remained for 8 months on the lees which enhanced the flavours.

Weemala is both an Aboriginal name for 'good view' and also the name of the vineyard in the Central ranges of New South Wales.

Light ruby in colour. Red cherries, cranberries, dried herbs and subtle spice on the nose. Bright and expressive with red berries, fine tannins and integrated oak. It has a long and elegant finish with hints of earth and spice.

 This excellent wine is made by the family run De Bortoli winery from grapes grown in the Yarra Valley. The resulting wine is perfumed and complex with characters of red fruits, spice and smoky oak.

The Abbey Vineyard at Tarrawarra is one of the Yarra Valley's premium vineyard sites. It typically produces brooding dark fruited Pinot Noir with power and charm. Good natural acidity, generous colour and flavour.

Hand sorting of fruit to ensure perfect fruit reaches the open fermenter. 18 days of maceration. Matured on fine lees in new and used casks for 10 months. Gravity at all stages.

The nose classically expresses the vineyard... it's like having a fresh lime in your hand that you crush gently over minerals... literally lime on the rocks!! The palate is bright, zingy, singing with natural acidity and really textural. It reflects the vineyard with its fine sandy texture with really bright, white pithy fruit. Just a cracking Eden Valley Riesling.
 

Well suited to seafood dishes, spicy cuisine and anytime in the company of those who enjoy a quality riesling! Try chilli prawns, green thai curry, fish and chicken laksa (with chilli, coconut, ginger and lime).

Eden Valley Riesling is prized for its vibrancy, purity and longevity and has produced many of Australia’s greatest Rieslings. The fruit for Rag & Bone is sourced from Binder’s single vineyard, high up on the Eastern side of Eden Valley. Warm days and cool nights ensure that the grapes develop ripe, intense fruit flavours whilst retaining appealing zing and acidity. The fruit was delivered to the winery immediately after harvesting in the cool hours of the morning, then processed very gently through our tank press. Free run and pressing portions were determined by Christa, using her vast experience with this variety. A Ratafia style wine was made from the pressings and the free run juice was used to make this wine. The juice was cold settled and 3 days later the clear juice was transferred into fermentation tanks. Bottling took place in the middle of June.

From the cool climate of Adelaide Hills, this lively white wine delivers lifted aromas of passionfruit and gooseberry. Our Shiraz is sourced from ancient Victorian soils in order to achieve a wine with greater finesse, purity and structure as well as typical eucalypt flavours and saline finish associated with the area. Picked at night and crushed within an hour of picking before being sent to the fermentation tanks. The Shiraz grapes were fermented in temperature-controlled tanks maintained at 22 - 25ºC to avoid extracting any harsh tannins, with the fermentations pumped over to extract good colour. 20% of the final blend is barrel aged. The winemaker also added 5% Malbec at the end of the whole process - a sneaky technique that gives a mulberry fruit twist on the finish. 

Bright red in appearance with ripe raspberries and spice on the nose. The palate is juicy and plump with cherries and a gentle tannin finish.

Nut brown colour with a slight green hue. Intense aromas of raisin, fig and spice with underlying floral notes. A rich and luscious palate exploding with rich Muscat flavours of raisins, figs, dates, toffee and caramel. Sweetness balanced with some vanillin oak notes make for a lovely lingering finish.

This Muscat has been aged in barrel and is designed to enjoy as soon as opened. It will also keep for several more years in bottle.

Fruit is left on the vines to become very ripe before harvesting at 16-18 baume. Once harvested the fruit is crushed, partially fermented then fortified on skins to further extract the floral and aromatic flavours from the fruit. The wine is pressed off skins and then transferred to barrels for maturation.

Suggested Cuisine: Chocolate and dark fruit based desserts, or enjoy a glass after a meal with a platter of cheeses, dried fruit and nuts. 

South Australian Chardonnay, powerful yet refreshing, full of stone fruit, green apple and flowers, with a slight brininess on the tongue and notes of spice and hazelnut floating into the nostrils.

Parcels of fruit are selected from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. The grapes underwent gentle crushing, temperature controlled fermentation and basket pressing. 60% of the juice was fermented in old French oak prior to bottling.

Food matching: This wine is great on its own and also goes down a treat with fresh fish, crunchy salads or a roast chook ( Chicken or Fowl ).

Shiraz delivers deep plum, mulberry, and liquorice with concentrated depth and velvety tannins. Grenache adds lush raspberry, blueberry, and floral charm. White pepper notes from both varieties shine in the cooler vintage, offering intrigue. Mourvedre brings an elegant restraint, red fruits, dried herb hints, and fine chalky tannins. A symphony of flavours and textures.

The grapes used in this wine are mostly from very old bush vines from around the McLaren Vale region.

Food matching: Easily matched with Entrecote & grilled pork chops but also worth trying with lamb and a classic pasta Bolognese!

Made from grapes grown in Riverina, Tumbarumba and King Valley.

A rich full bodied wine made in Heathcote, South East Australia by De Bortoli. Deep purple in colour with a crimson hue and a bouquet of ripe blackberries and dark fruits complemented with mocha oak, hints of spicy pepper and liquorice. The palate is full and rich with plenty of ripe blackberry fruits and plums. Soft mouth filling flavours of mocha, spice and liquorice with a chocolaty finish.

Great with pizza and pasta. 

Beautiful perfume with blackberry, blueberry and middle eastern saffron spice on the nose. Dusty, earthy aromas give way to layers of aniseed and black olive. The palate beautifully follows the nose; mouth filling, generous and not overtly sweet. One that can be cellared for many years.

Small batches of grapes are gently crushed and then transferred to five tonne headed down open fermenters. Foot treading is undertaken two thirds of the way through fermentation. The wine is then basket pressed and a small amount of fine, fortifying brandy spirit is added, ending fermentation and reatining the sweet fruit richness of the style. The Vintage Fortified does not spend any time in wood prior to bottling.

Perfect with chocolate desserts of blue cheese.
