A classic Chardonnay from Southern Burgundy - fine buttery and floral notes on the nose and a wine of substance and finesse on the palate. From a 12 hectare plot in the village of Bussières, to the south of the Mâconnais region, with an average vine age of about 40 years. The soil is classic argilo-calcaire that suits Chardonnay so well and that lends elegance and finesse to the final wines. 10% of the wine is barrel aged to give a more textural, slightly creamy element.

Lots of lovely ripe peach and apricot aromas, caramelized apples and hot stones on the nose. Followed by generous, pronounced fruit on the palate with nectarine skins and baked peaches balanced firmly by a rounded, lemon flesh acidity.

After harvest, the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks to retain the freshness of the juice.

A vivid yellow coloured wine with hints of green. This is a dry wine with a good length and a powerful finish.

Serve chilled with oysters, seafood, pates, deli meats and pork dishes. Also goes well with goats cheeses and gruyere cheese. 

The wine has a lovely shimmer and is a pretty golden colour with green reflections. The rich and complex nose is characterised by pleasant and subtle floral and mineral aromas. It has a wonderful, fat structure in the mouth with minerality and charming aromas of butter, brioche and meadow mushrooms. It is a harmonious wine that is not only fine and elegant but also has an excellent aromatic persistence.

In the south-west of France, Gascony has emerged as a specialist producer of fresh white wines which offer finesse and charm. A mixture of silt, sand and alluvial deposits help the soil to drain - ideal conditions for a healthy crop.

Pale straw lemon in colour with fresh, aromatics of lime leaf, honeydew melon and a hint of buttery, toasty notes.  The palate has flavours of lime, nectarine and fresh lemon. Crisp acidity with slight notes of brioche and creaminess on the finish.

The Hesketh Art Series wines represent the best of our home state, South Australia - one of the most celebrated and diverse growing regions in the world. Grapes for these wines are sourced from the premium growing region of the Limestone Coast. This wine is produced, blended and bottled into a fresh, fruit driven style which is perfect for everyday drinking or more salubrious occasions.

Sourced from 13 year-old-vines in Southern Coonawarra, the grapes for our 2019 Lost Weekend Chardonnay were picked from the 8th to the 12th of March. Following harvest, the fruit was pressed off skins and the pressings were kept separate and fermented cool for 35 days. The wine was then racked off gross lees to keep the style clean and crisp before being matured in stainless steel for 5 months prior to bottling. Lost Weekend is a fresh and vibrant style of Chardonnay which will reward short to medium term cellaring. Best shared with a large group of friends over a big haul of freshly caught seafood! 

Delightfully, fresh with citrus and tropical fruit flavours such as papaya and apple. Refreshing and well balanced with a ripe finish. The wine is not oaked.

A clear, bright pale yellow in colour, with refreshing citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime that intermingle with subtle tropical fruit aromas, especially pineapple, and a touch of herbs. On the palate,

it is a balanced, fresh and fruity wine, with velvety texture and a persistent, enjoyable finish.

Ideal for serving with fish and shellfish, cooked with creamy sauces or butter. Also it is perfect accompanying pasta with seafood sauces and as aperitif, served with different cheese and dried fruits.

 
Casablanca Valley can be identified by its closeness to the Pacific Ocean, influenced by the coastal breeze, which moderates temperatures. The land is basically formed by hills that increase in height as
it goes east towards the Coastal Mountain Range. It has an alluvial origin, with sandy textures of high permeability, poor and shallow, which causes the valley to have low yields, compared to others. The
temperatures are colder and templates, causing a slower ripening in the fruit and, in consequence, great character in flavour and aroma, for white varieties like Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes
come from vineyards that are approximately 12 years old in the Casablanca estate, trellised in simple vertical shoot position, with an average yield of 12 tons/ha. They were hand-picked into bins during
the first week of March when they had reached the ideal state of ripeness. The grapes were transported to our Nancagua winery for vinification in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures with selected
yeasts, pumpovers, and delicate lees stirring to reach the desired final result. Prior to bottling the wine was fined with adjusted doses of bentonite and cold stabilized to prevent tartaric precipitations in the
bottle.

 A proper grown-up, textural Chardonnay from the Campo Fiorito vineyard, a 5 hectare north east facing plot on the stunning Il Cascinone estate.

The 5ha Campo Fiorito vineyard is located on the north-east facing slopes of the 60 ha estate of Il Cascinone, in the Monferrato hills of Piemonte, Italy (planted in 1998). This cooler site is perfect for the slower maturation needed to produce fresh whites. Grapes are typically harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September. Around 15% of the wine was fermented and aged in French oak barriques for added richness and complexity.

A delicate nose of ripe stone fruit, lightly honeyed with a hint of creamy oak. The complex palate is concentrated and well-balanced with ripe peach characters, an appealing mouthfeel and a fresh, long finish with some savoury, toasty notes.

A fresh, clean unoaked wine made from selected grapes grown in Burgundy and the South of France. It has plenty of floral aromas, green apple and nectarine notes and good balance in the mouth between fruit and roundness leading to a long pleasant finish.

Immediately appealing with good depth of flavour and underlying finesse that provides wonderful length and unfolding flavours - think of freshly cut hay and meadowsweet for the nose, crunchy greengages for the palate, and some candied peel / lemongrass for the final notes.

Food match: An extremely versatile wine that can be enjoyed alone or with food – delicious alongside grilled fish (locally we would use zander), chicken in cream sauce (poulet à la crème), asparagus & mushroom risotto, fish chowder, a traditional roast chicken with all the trimmings, or even a cheese platter - particularly goat's cheese.

Plots within the Mâcon-Charnay-lès-Mâcon appellation lie on the higher slopes of the Mont du Mâconnais, where soils are varied but limestone is prevalent. Here Chardonnay ripens under a Continental climate (typically cold winters followed by warm springs and almost Mediterranean sun in the summer). Once ripe, picking is both by hand and machine. Machine harvesting has the advantage of picking in the early hours of the morning before daylight when the temperature rises; hand picking is gentler and keeps whole bunches intact. After pressing and static settling the must is cooled to around 12°C to ensure a controlled fermentation. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, wines are left to winter and undergo malolactic fermentation. With enviable priority access to the cellar in Mâcon-Charnay, Samantha tastes each individual tank (up to 20) to select a very personalised blend for GENETIE 'Les Piliers', combining three essential elements - the florals, the exotic and the mineral. The final blend is kept on fine lees until bottling, combining the warmth of southern Burgundy with the elegance and finesse of the special terroir of Mâcon-Charnay-lès-Mâcon.

This is a big oak aged wine made on the estate of the Wente family winery in San Fransisco Bay. Livermore Valley is regarded as the best place to grow gapes there due to the climate it almost ideal.

This wine was aged in oak for seven months before bottling. The wine has green apple and tropical fruit aromas and flavours, balanced by subtle oak, cinnamon and vanilla from barrel aging. With a mouth filling body and balanced acidity this wine delivers a medium long refreshing finish.

 This crisp and refreshing dry wine has flavours of stone and tropical fruit and ripe apple.

Goes well with grilled fish, creamy pasta and risotto.

This is a modern Chardonnay, on the nose there is an appealing salinity over toasted hazelnut aromas. The palate has a stone fruit and struck match structure to it that gives it a gentle minerality.

This wine wants buttery chicken, pork tenderlion or a mushroom stroganoff.

Fruit comes from a vineyard in Monterey, California’s Central Coast region. The Chardonnay vineyard has its own AVA, San Bernabe and sits next to a chain of hills which separate the vineyards from the Pacific coast. Chardonnay benefits from the cooler evenings this region enjoys helping to maintain natural freshness. After careful selection fruit is pressed gently in a bladder press before fermentation in stainless steel. 20% of the blend is aged for 6 months in new and used French oak.

South Australian Chardonnay, powerful yet refreshing, full of stone fruit, green apple and flowers, with a slight brininess on the tongue and notes of spice and hazelnut floating into the nostrils.

Parcels of fruit are selected from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. The grapes underwent gentle crushing, temperature controlled fermentation and basket pressing. 60% of the juice was fermented in old French oak prior to bottling.

Food matching: This wine is great on its own and also goes down a treat with fresh fish, crunchy salads or a roast chook ( Chicken or Fowl ).

A pale straw coloured wine. Dry with pleasant aromas of white peach with soft, almond oak characters adding complexity. Medium bodied showing citrus fruit on the palate with floral flavours, finishing with a creamy nutty texture.

Made from grapes grown in Riverina, Tumbarumba and King Valley. 

A great match to chicken, seafood and light pasta dishes.
