The grapes for False Bay Bush Vine Pinotage stem from a single vineyard of unirrigated bush vines in Stellenbosch. The attraction to this mature (planted in 1996), coastal, bush vine vineyard were the cooler temperatures and small, naturally balanced and concentrated berries. Made by Waterkloof's talented young Cellarmaster Nadia Barnard. Balanced grapes are hand harvested, fermented spontaneously with wild yeast and then raised in large wooden casks (or 'foudre' en Francais). The resulting wine therefore, is perhaps more 'Pino' than 'Tage'. No additions other than sulphur as a preservative. Grown, made and bottled in South Africa. Mont Rocher Carignan Vieilles Vignes is produced from 50-year-old, low yielding vines growing on rugged limestone rich soils, in sun drenched vineyards at the foothills of the Pyrénées. It is here some of the most expressive Carignan is grown and crafted to display purity of fruit and a distinctive 'goût de terroir', carried out in a modern style. The grapes are de-stemmed, crushed and fermentation is carried out at controlled temperature, around 23°C . Ageing is carried out in tanks with a small amount of French oak staves to add more complexity and roundness to the wine.

Juicy and mouthwatering, our old vine Carignan displays hallmark black cherry aromas. Rich and smooth, the red berry fruit character remains pure and vibrant to the finish with vanilla notes.

Best paired with casseroles and roast beef.

Los Tres Curas Carignan is produced form 85% Carmenere; 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.

This is a medium bodied purple-red wine with hints of violet. It offers red fruit aromas intermingled with spice, mocha and vanilla. In the mouth, there are smooth and silky tannins which together provide a long, pleasant finish with touches of mature fruits.

It is a great match with Chicken, quiche, roast beef, pastrami and hams.

The Colchagua Valley extends from San Fernando in the north to Chimbarongo in the south. The climate is Mediterranean, and the area receives winds from the south and morning fog. Springs are frost-free, and summers are very warm, which encourages proper ripening. Summers are hot but with cool night temperatures. The soils are medium to very deep, of alluvial origin, and have a silty-loam texture that allows for good vine development. The grapes were hand picked in late April and early May and submitted to a week-long pre-fermentation cold treatment at 8ºC (46ºF) to extract more fruit characteristics. Alcoholic fermentation took place at 25º–28ºC (77º–82ºF) with pumpovers determined  by daily tastings through the end of the process. A post-fermentation maceration followed, and then the wine was devatted, separating the free-run wine from the skins. Malolactic fermentation took place naturally. 20% of the wine was aged in French oak for 6 months and then blended for a more complex character.

An approachable style of claret that has a ripe and round plummy nose with a hint of wood spice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Full bodied and well structured, this is a lean wine with gentle tannins. Made from 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot with grapes grown to the south west of the town of Bergerac. Made by husband and wife team Pascal and Flavie Cuisset.

Intense, cigar box and ripe spiced fruit on the nose, a full-bodied St Emilion. Properly structured but with plush red fruits and a touch of leather and cedar with fine grained lingering tannins that last right through to the long finish.

From 2 hectares of vines with an average age of 25-30 years. A portion of the vines are situated at the base of the Saint Christophe des Bardes slope on sand and iron rich sandstone soils, the rest are situated on the gravel soils of Saint Sulpice. Planting is high density at 6,600 - 9000 vines per hectare. The grapes are partly hand harvested and the wine is aged in steel tanks for 12 to 15 months before bottling.

An intense dark ruby coloured wine made from a blend of traditional grapes mainly: Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mouvedre. The grapes are sorted by hand before destemming and crushing. The wine is matured in vats and oak casks before bottling.

The nose has ripe black fruit, cherry and spices. The palate reveals the presence of tannins and is elegant and full. The finish is long and luxurious.

Produced by Chateau du Cleray-Sauvion the wine goes through Selection, blending and then ageing in our wineries in order to get the perfect harmony.

The Côtes du Rhône region is made from various types of soils, but mostly from limestone terraces with sand and red clay.

The colour is purple tinged garnet. The aromatic range of the nose goes from fresh berries (wild raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry) to spices.

The palate is big and full flavoured with silky smooth tannins and touches of liquorice and pepper.

This is an intense, brilliant garnet coloured wine. It has lovely fruit, loads of body and a heady bouquet of ground peppers, raspberries, currants and spices. The wine is full bodied and dense and is rich and elegant.

A wonderful rich red wine that is made just 3 metres outside the northern border of Chateauneuf du Pape so must be classed as Cotes du Rhone.

Classic Rhone style red, friendly and warming with sweet rich juicy blueberry fruit. The spice of Grenache blends well with the Syrah to give a lusciously textured wine with plum and strawberry fruits and a rounded palate. This is a medium bodied drinkable wine.

A heady perfume of freshly picked irises and peonies drift above the crushed berry fruit nose. The fleshy, luscious, cherry flavours and hints of rose are typically vivacious, backed up with a touch of spice and good depth.

A deep coloured red wine with an intense, elegant bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry and cherry. In the mouth these fruits are evident with fullness and roundness and balance with gives good length. The finish is long with spicy notes.

Purple in colour. It is the quintessential Italian red, capturing the intense aromas and rich, robust characteristics typical of the Abruzzo region. Spicy, with cherry flavours, full, rich and well-rounded. Grown on the rugged slopes of the Abruzzo hills, this is a rich, deep wine. The bouquet and palate are both rich in blackberry flavours, with hints of spice.

Minini was established in 1920 when Mr. Francesco Minini, a young soldier, came back from First World War with little money but great determination and decided to start the wine business in a rural economy and a poor market. At the beginning of the ‘60s the big growth of the Company forces the Mininis’ to move into a new Winery, which is still the current Headquarter today. All be it , enlarged and restored. During all these years the Minini Family never forgot its tight link with the land, developing new cooperation projects with growers all over the main production areas of Italy. This allowed the Family to widen the portfolio of wines to support its introduction on the International markets. Their strategy has been to source new wines from the plenty of unique ancient vineyards typical of Italy, rediscovering, with the new technologies of wine making, the value of the Italian tradition.

This wine has an intense ruby red colour with pleasant floral aromas of ripe red fruit and liquorice. The palate is well balanced with warm herb notes and it has gentle, elegant tannins with hints of vanilla from the oak ageing.

Intense ruby red colour with a complex bouquet, reminiscent of cherries, raspberries and redcurrants. The oak ageing adds a pleasant roasted and spicy aroma. The palate is full bodied, supple and well balanced with a long finish.

Just before harvest the grapes, when the grapes are fully mature and are ready to be picked, the stems of the bunches are twisted so that no further nourishment reaches the grapes, thus inducing a natural drying of the grapes on the vine. The bunches are left for about 12 days and lose approximately 25 - 30% of their weight in water, concentrating their flavours before harvest.

A medium bodied, easy drinking red wine made in the Salento peninsula in southern Puglia. The wine has aromas of red berry and damson fruit. Fresh and lively on the palate with juicy berry fruit and a hint of spiciness. Balanced by tangy acidity and soft ripe tannins. The wine is not oaked.

A deep cherry coloured wine, this wine is fresh and delicious. The nose is dominated by notes of cherries and blackberries delicately combined with herbal touches of thyme and mint, bringing aromatic complexity. On the palate, black fruit flavours alongside silky tannins create a smooth and beautifully balanced wine. 

Lopez Morenas was formed in Fuente del Maestre, in 1943 as a tiny traditional winery. They bought a small bottling machine and the company began distributing locally and regionally. In 1990 they became a limited company and since then the company has trebled their manufacturing volume. This allowed them to offer new products and new formats, which has opened up new markets all over the world.

This is a soft, easy drinking dry red wine, full of delicious ripe fruit flavours made in Tierra de Extremadura in Spain.
